Our Full Story
The Moja Muse Collective
The vision for the collective is simple yet powerful: to create spaces where culture, art, and meaningful connection thrive. Whether it’s events, digital storytelling, or future collaborations, The Moja Muse is all about making room for people like us to dream big, live boldly, and support one another along the way.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Morgan Brunson, Founder of The Moja Muse Collective, started the collective while living abroad in Mexico. Having lived in many different cities across the United States & having being heavily active within each cities social scene, she still experienced gaps that lied within each whether it be arts, culture, connection, or simply a safe space to have fun. The same was present in Mexico, where many black expats live. With a mix of both passion & purpose she started the collective with hopes to bring about more safe spaces across cities where black people live and can explore, connect, and celebrate in ways that are unique and diverse.
MOJA = "ONE"
“Moja” means “one” in Swahili, and that’s the heart of this collective: bringing people together as one community to share ideas, celebrate creativity, and inspire each other.

OUR MISSION
The Moja Muse Collective is a community-driven movement dedicated to fostering meaningful connections, creative expression, and cultural celebration. Our mission is to curate intentional spaces where art, storytelling, and collaboration thrive—bringing together diverse voices to inspire, uplift, and empower one another. Through immersive events, shared experiences, and a commitment to authenticity, we aim to cultivate a community that embraces self-expression, creativity, and the beauty of human connection.
